Grotesque Magazine

Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress. A school project that required the task to conceptualize a magazine. The project involved designing a cover, a table of contents page, and several spreads. In looking at different genre magazines, giving a new approach to horror makes an interesting challenge. Most horror magazines that are currently in the market are mere tools used to promote upcoming movies and televisions shows and are therefore cluttered with gimicky text. Grotesque magazine is meant to celebrate the horror culture and provide more indepth analysis and views. A clean and sophisticated look is given to the magazine through the use of type and clean layouts.
